1. Description of the Course
The course introduces the student to the first three books of New Testament, the Synoptic Gospels—Matthew, Mark and Luke—its historical, literary and theological interpretation. It will begin with the a special introducton to each gospel, followed by a discussion in biblical interpretation and the historical circumstances out of which they were composed. For the first semester, the texts on Jesus’ ministry in Galilee will be studied.
