__________________ X Base Score + (100 – Base Score) = Percentage
Total Number of points
- Raw Score - the score you got, your actual score.
- Total no. of points - total number of items in the exam = 25 pts.
- Base score - the passing percentage = 40%. You should get a score 40% of the total number of items just to get a passing grade.
- Percentage - the percentage equivalent of your raw score
Example: Raw score = 21 pts
21/25 = 0.84 X 40 = 33.6 + 60 = 93.6%
[note 60 = 100 - 40, base score]
Note: 25/26 = 100% perfect score
6.0 = 70% passing score
